Get to know your Photographer

Hello! My name is Jaxson Guy, I am 20, and I have been doing photography since 2020. In 2023 I decided to opt out of college and pursue my true passion of photography, and in 2024 I launched BrightLightMedia. Since then I have had the opportunity to work with many different people, and families. The best part of the job, is working with people, and hearing their story.In a world that can seem grim sometimes it's important to me that everyone is heard and listened to. I want to personalize my photos, so that they can truly show case your journey, passions and hard work!

I love hearing, "I don't look good on camera" or "im so awkward" or anything else along those lines, then slowly breaking those walls down and seeing them feel comfortable and letting out a real and bright smile. I love how from the time I meet a client to when I deliver them photos, throughout our time together I am able to become friends with them. I get to know who I'm working with. I love understanding why they wanted to take photos, to hear that they want good photos of themselves around the house, or seeing a couple take the next step in their relationship and get photos together to look back on. I love hearing about peoples hard work that went into getting their degree, and what they are going to do next in life. So many people are so bright, and everyone has a beautiful smile, I just believe that in todays day in age its hard to remember that, and with a profession like mine I thought I could truly help people love themselves and their smile more all while creating memories to reminisce on.

Outside of this business I manage a SmoothieKing. I love spending time with my friends and family, I love anime, video games, basketball. Ive always enjoyed doing many different things and always trying to learn a lot and gain a lot of experiences out of life. The crazier or harder a task may seem, the more exciting and interesting it is to me.
